Position Overview
SCV is hiring a member of our investment team based in the San Francisco Bay Area.    Your time will be spent in all areas of our investment activities, assistance with event planning and operations.  Primary responsibilities include:

Sourcing & Diligencing Investments:
  • You’ll be scouting and networking with the best and brightest entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, scientific leaders in the climate-tech sector and helping manage our internal systems for tracking deals, keeping records updated.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities in climate-related industries.
  • Assist in due diligence processes, including financial analysis, competitive landscape assessment, and technology evaluation.
  • Prepare investment memos, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Helping Our Portfolio Succeed: We pride ourselves on the value-add we can bring to our CEOs and entrepreneurs.   Being a positive, supportive, strategic partner to turbo-charge value creation for our portfolio companies will be a key component of this role.

Operational Support
  • Support operational activities within the firm, including portfolio management, performance tracking, and reporting.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational processes and systems to streamline workflow and enhance efficiency.
  • Assist any required day to day operations of the fund.
Event Planning
  • Coordinate and execute firm events, including investor meetings, networking events, and industry conferences.
  • Manage event logistics, including venue selection, agenda development, and participant coordination.
This role is a hybrid of remote/in-person (Menlo Park/Palo Alto) work.

Salary Range: The estimated starting salary range for this position is USD $135,000–$165,000 with bonus eligibility of up to 25%. The actual salary will be based on a variety of job-related factors, including geography, skills, education, and/or experience. The range is a good faith estimate and may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for a range of benefits including medical and dental.
